Strength to Tug of War Tier List

This tier list hub ranks equipment and upgrade choices for +1 Strength to Tug of War using a simple question: how much Strength do you earn per step for the currency you spend? These are community strategy tiers, not official developer rankings. Tough Guy Studio can rebalance items any Saturday update, so treat S/A/B labels as guidance and verify numbers in-game after patches.

The loop is walk → spend on multipliers → win tug-of-war duels → rebirth for permanent bonuses → unlock new worlds. How we define S, A, and B tiers

Tier	Meaning	When to prioritize
S	Best strength-per-step return in the current world	Buy as soon as affordable; delays here waste the most time
A	Strong multipliers or unlocks that pay off within one short session	Buy right after S-tier gaps are filled
B	Situational or luxury picks	Buy when S and A options are exhausted or for collection goals

We do not rank cosmetic-only items unless they accidentally include hidden stat bonuses—always read item tooltips live.

Early-world equipment tiers (strategy)

These names mirror common Roblox idle-muscle genres; exact item labels may differ slightly in your client after an update.

S tier — first purchases

• Cheapest step multiplier gear available in World 1 (often basic shoes, gloves, or training weights depending on patch). These items multiply every step and pay for themselves within minutes of walking.
• First affordable pet or companion slot if the pet adds flat or percent Strength while moving. Empty pet slots are wasted steps.

A tier — after first hour

• Mid-tier equipment that doubles or triples per-step gain compared with starter gear. Upgrade when the price is roughly 5–15 minutes of walking at your current rate—not hours.
• Tug-of-war win boosts that help you clear duels required for world gates or rebirth prerequisites.

B tier — optional early

• Cosmetic muscle visuals with no stat line.
• Remote world portals you can already reach by walking—convenience only.

Mid-game and rebirth-aware tiers

After your first rebirth, S-tier shifts to whatever item restores your pre-reset walk speed fastest. Players who rebirth too early without upgrading S-tier gear first feel stuck; use the rebirth planner before resetting.

Post-rebirth S tier typically includes:

• Lowest-cost multiplier that returns you to previous Strength/minute within 15 minutes
• Any rebirth-gated equipment with explicit permanent bonus text

A tier post-rebirth covers world-specific gear that unlocks the next zone’s tug-of-war bracket. B tier covers duplicate cosmetic variants of gear you already equip.
